La Maison du Chocolat offers you, as every year, its delicious glazed chestnuts. Coming from Turin, candied and delicately glazed, they make the richness of this collection. Our glazed Chestnuts, with their decidedly tasty flavor, detail the fruit in its most beautiful finery. This treat is the leading confection. Perfectly candied and glazed with a thin layer of sugar, the generous fruit unfolds sweet notes of chestnut mixed with vanilla. The sugar just present gives pride of place to the taste qualities of the fruit, which is iced at the end of the confection.

Keep the glazed chestnuts between 4-6°C (in the bottom of your refrigerator). For an optimal tasting, take out the glazed chestnuts at room temperature at least 1 hour before tasting.
To appreciate all the softness of the glazed chestnuts with its translucent flesh, we recommend that you split it up in two parts before tasting, avoiding cutting it with a knife or, even if it is tempting, biting directly into it.

Craftsmanship and the art of candying
Our glazed chestnuts are grown in Turin, renowned for its excellent chestnut groves. We choose chestnuts which weigh roughly 22g: this size is considered to be ideal to create an intensely flavored sweet treat. La Maison du Chocolat is inspired by traditional methods when creating its glazed chestnuts. The chestnuts' natural water must be replaced with a syrup: the nuts are immersed in successive syrup baths, infused with vanilla beans, and the concentration of syrup is gradually increased. Glazed at the very end of the process, these glazed chestnuts retain their natural flavors and are covered in a thin coating of candied icing sugar.
