What if, out of all the possible animals for Easter, Nicolas Cloiseau had found the only one capable of creating the Maison’s faceted eggs? Born from a bronze sculpture by cubist artist Jacques Owczarek, Tanakio Nicolas Cloiseau’s signature crocodile reveals itself like a sculpture to be savored. Its body, shaped with subtle angles and taut lines, shifts in nuance with every bite. TANAKIO plays with contrasts, moving from crunch to melt, from deep dark notes to softer tones. A living creation, just wild enough, reminding us that at Easter, indulgence is something to be hunted and best enjoyed with a touch of adventure. This artistic piece is composed of a dark chocolate base delicately sprinkled with almonds and pistachios, a dark chocolate crocodile mold filled with vanilla praline and crispy crêpes dentelle, a dark chocolate egg with roasted Piedmont hazelnuts, as well as two milk and dark chocolate eggs filled with avelinas and amandas.

Enjoy our chocolates at a room temperature of 20°C. Pair your tasting with mineral water to let the chocolate’s flavors fully unfold. You may store our chocolates in a cool, dry place (18°C) in their original packaging, or in the lower compartment of your refrigerator after placing the box inside a paper or plastic bag. If refrigerated, take the chocolates out 30 minutes before enjoying them.

At the heart of the ANIMA collection
A signature artistic piece by Nicolas Cloiseau, crafted entirely in chocolate and handmade using a custom mold taken directly from a bronze sculpture by Jacques Owczarek. The crocodile’s body layers 56% dark chocolate and 36% milk chocolate intertwined with an almond praline, delicately infused with vanilla and notes of crisp lace crêpe. A finely perforated plate with 90 cutouts evokes the animal’s skin. Surrounding it, a faceted Maison dark chocolate egg with Piedmont hazelnuts, smooth eggs filled with fritures and dried fruits, all set on a bed of pistachios and almonds bound in chocolate, extend the sense of discovery.
