our creations...

Nicolas Cloiseau, Chef Creator at La Maison du Chocolat, and Benjamin Kuentz, French whisky editor, have combined their expertise to create the Alchimie Chocolat Whisky chocolate bar with an intense whisky taste, matured in oak barrels and alcohol-free (traces 0.5%). Their secret? The bar's pure Grenada and Ecuador chocolate, poured hot into a barrel just emptied of its whisky, absorbs the aromas captured in the wood and takes on the aromatic strength of the spirit.
In tune with the times, our two designers have signed this innovation with the firm intention of shaking up the codes of chocolate-spirit combinations. On the palate, a powerful, tangy fragrance of velvety dark chocolate with citrus notes and a whisky impression, without alcohol (traces 0.5%).

Tasting

Our chocolates are best appreciated at room temperature. We advise that you cut your chocolate in two and let it melt in the mouth to allow time for the flavors to develop. When you are tasting several chocolates, it is best to start with a plain chocolate, then move on to flavored varieties: first those with fruits, then spices, then alcohol.

Dark chocolate (cocoa paste, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), vanilla, vanilla natural flavouring), cocoa butter, barley malt.
Dark chocolate contains : Cocoa solids 65% minimum.

Craftsmanship, gourmet treats and incredible uniformity 

By maturing liquid chocolate in oak barrels for several weeks, the Alchimie bar is impregnated with the taste of whisky imprinted in the wood. Cast hot into a barrel just emptied of its whisky, the chocolate's contact with the wood absorbs its aromas and takes on the spirit's aromatic strength. Echoing the smoky taste of Benjamin Kuentz's whisky, Nicolas Cloiseau blends two pure cocoa origins: the spicy temperament of cocoa from Grenada Island with the woody nature of Ecuador.
