Imagine biting into a perfectly roasted hazelnut, its crunch giving way to a silky layer of chocolate that melts on your tongue. The process begins with carefully selected hazelnuts, chosen for their size, freshness, and flavor. These hazelnuts are gently roasted to enhance their natural nuttiness and to create the ideal crunchy texture. Next, they are placed in traditional copper kettles, where they are continuously tumbled and coated with streams of liquid chocolate. This "turbinating" technique ensures that each hazelnut is evenly covered, layer by layer, with either smooth milk chocolate or rich dark chocolate.
With each pass, the chocolate coating thickens and hardens, creating a glossy, decadent shell that perfectly balances the hazelnut’s crunch. The milk chocolate version offers a creamy, sweet experience, while the dark chocolate variety brings a deeper, more sophisticated cocoa flavor with subtle bitter notes.
